Morning Smoothie
Here's a smoothie that you can make either for first thing in the morning on your way to work or even to the gym. The complex carbs should give you the energy to get your day started and the fast digesting carbs will ensure you don't go into a catabolic state after hours of going without a meal. To reduce calories, go for one scoop of protein instead of two.
Choose whatever protein flavour you like, but for the breakfast smoothie recipe strawberry or banana are good options.
In a blender or Magic Bullet, combine the following until smooth:
1/4 cup of instant oatmeal
2 scoops of whey protein
1 banana
1/4 cup frozen berries
1 cup of milk
